People were already not allowed in the lane unless they were carpools or motorcycles. Now you can pay to enter the lane if you are a single driver. How is that a tax that hurts anyone? I suppose it has the possibility of clogging the HOV lane. Other than that you're just flapping your lips in the wind.

Did you feel that whooshing sound over your head? It was the point.

I just read an article in the paper today that said it cost 1.7 cents to produce a penny, and about 7 cents to produce a nickle. We need to print as much paper money as possible to pay for our coins. This is the kind of creative thinking that made us what we are today.

Just as sidelight, how much money did you folks up there is Seattle pony up for a baseball and football stadium? How many potholes could be fixed for what some cities pay to keep a team from leaving? If you're like the people in the Bay Area, or SoCal, the answer is basically nada. Back East, some towns have built stadiums that don't even HAVE a team, hoping to attract one. And people voted for it.
