The current Goldwing 1832 cc boxer 6 puts out 118 HP and 125 FT LBS of torque. Something not much bigger, same style, boxer 6 puts out 300 horsepower and 300 FT LBS of torque sits in the Subaru WRX. Not only is this feasible, but it you could actually build a motorcycle that would seem like one.

There once was a rotory motorcycle but it ran into heat issues, burning the riders legs. Rotory motors are inefficient, throwing off a lot of energy as heat. However, I love my RX-8 and that smooth, turbine like power would be awesome on a bike.

From my 1997 Saab 9000CSE 2.3 Turbo, the 4cyl, 200 HP engine residing in it. Bulletproof and I delight in taking on unsuspecting Bavarian built cars. The last great Saab made IMO, I'd never buy a newer Saab. I'm still trying to find a mint Aero 5speed.

No need to go to the trouble of adapting a WRX engine to MC drive train. Just turbo-charge the Goldwing engine. You probably couldn't get a reliable 300hp without major upgrade of components. But you could probably get an easy 210hp.

What else could you expect? An Italian car built by communists.

Get a good Valk. It´ll give you 20 years x 95 hp on the rear wheel.

It was a lousy engine with trashy sound. Once you have driven this car you understand why no more V-4 cars are produced. But maybe it was the ancient design as the V-4 works in motorcycles.

Luckily you guys bombed the Yugo factory into atoms. Must have been planned by someone in Pentagon who had some previous ownership experience.

Way back in Finland a russian car called Volga was marketed with a slogan "Volga takes you there". That was promptly twisted in the form "Volga takes you there but who brings you back". For a reason.

I was thinking the same thing myself. It's perfect. Light, high winding, and DEFINITELY going to look way different from anything you'll ordinarily see in a bike.

I've also thought a Porsche air cooled flat six would be a cool choice, for those who don't think a Valk is big enough. And it has all the fins and such to look right in a bike, compared to a hefty lump of metal casting that most liquid cooled automotive engines have for a block.

Better yet, I'd like to see the carbed Valk version of the flat six, in a Caterham Seven with the heads sticking out the sides of the hood.

(See http://www.caterham.co.uk/ for those not familiar with this beasty.)
