No, I think there will be no pot stirring here. Yes, a worthy cause.

You mean a bunch of H-D ridin' guys showed up and contributed money and a bunch of KP-types flapped their gums and did nothing?

the very idea that something like the Patriot Guard is necessary makes me actually queesy. That people would protest at a funeral, at an actual funeral, is not merely a matter of putting politics before patriotism, it's an affront to the fundamental dignity of the human person. Folks who would protest at a funeral, making a solemn burial and period of mourning into a stump speech...damn. I don't care if they're 100% right, politically, I could never vote with people that behave that way. They might as well have robbed the grave.

Yeah, that struck me right away. They're even worse than the s***** who threw dogshyt on returning troops during the Vietnam War. What kind of a sicko harasses the families at a funeral? Or calls them on the phone saying, "I'm glad your son is dead".

Since cemetaries are private or govt property I wonder why the protesters can't be arrested for trespassing.

I think prosecution for hate crimes would fit the bill.

Imagine if a bunch of neo-cons were at a funeral of a gay guy who died of AIDS doing something like this.

Surely you are used to the double standard by now.

It's more like a triple standard these days.

Unless I missed something, exactly what the protester's agenda was, was not made clear. I mention that because there is a group of fundamentalist Christians who show up at soldiers funerals and tell the bereaved that God is glad their child is dead because America condones Homosexuality. I know that these patriot guys have shown up at some of the same funerals as that church group, so it could be A$$holes on the right instead of A$$holes on the left. They have em on both sides of the spectrum and the only two things they have in common, is that they truly believe that they are just doing what God would do, if he knew the facts, and, well, they're A$$HOLES.

You get that "info" from MoveOn or was it actually published somewhere?

One would think someone would have some video of that.
