You are right. It had just one "pipe". So soon they forget - and it was only back in 1949, too. I rode it up the Arroyo Seca Parkway with my friend who was "rich" and had a Motobecane. The Parkway was the first freeway in the US, and is now called the Pasadena Freeway. I think the Whizzer ran 35mph, which was way too fast for the rear wheel bicycle brake.

Default Whizzer year

Oops. I forgot that I owned it in 1946 when I was 13. In 1948 I had graduated to a Harley 45 with suicide clutch and hand shift.

Love suicide shift. Always use to "blip" the throttle when I hit neutral and pull a double-clutch for effect.

Motorized bicycles are way cool. You can't pry me off mine. Something about being able to pull the clutch in, shut off the motor and ride on the sidewalk when traffic sucks is magical.

I'll wait for the riceburner stamps. They'll cost less, and your letter won't end up by the side of the road leaking oil.

Not that Whizzer, the one that runs on gas, not beer.

Yes, but will you out in the garage staring at them at 1 am?
