Was he wearing a helmet?

The article doesn't say so it is not possible to know if he was being irresponsible or not.

Somebody went 142 mph on their motorcycle? The implication in the article was that is a bad thing. Have I missed something?

Oh, he was being irresponsible all right, but for those of us who *aren't* fixated on defending the rights of all mankind, one naked head at a time, that was obvious enough that it didn't need to be stated.

Man, that Bergen county lock-up is tough. I hear they make the inmates pump gas at the Mahwah Chevron if they don't toe the line.

The article's pretty sketchy but there's one thing we can be sure of. This guy wasn't riding a Harley.

It is a bad thing because it shows that the POH-leese don't have the fastest vehicles and that not everybody is a sheep-like follower.

But $20,000 for bail - c'mon. All he did was cause the cops to burn up some gas. Maybe he was trying to get to an emergency child welfare situation. Give him a medal.

or a good dual sport. How could the cops clock him at 142 (not 140 not 145 but 142.) Sounds fishy to me. At 142 he would have been out of sight pretty quickly.

Default Why not?

Do their guns only display speed at 5mph increments?

Perhaps they were using the visual marker/counting technique, just like with the fellow on the RC51 that was clocked at 200+mph?

Was he riding from the East coast to the West Coast? One more state and he'd of been free.."free to ride his machine without be hassled by the Man"!
