Maybe they can strap my old Star 120 on Wolf Blitzer and drop him on the noggin from a few stories up.

His reports might be a little more interesting after that...

Again;

Helmets: good

Government involvement: bad

Nice videos of street wrecks, though. I haven't seen many real world bike wrecks.

Good reporting by CNN?????? WOW. They submitted something that wasn't slanted toward negatives. Simple and got the point across. All that and made the guy that low sided look like a fool. Too bad he took his buddy out.

Default The case for a full-face helmet is strong.

Hey bigdx, notice that the rider interviewed said he landed face first... Go buy that full-face helmet today my friend.

Nice story CNN... Thanks Pete for making available via MO.

I was glad to see motorcyclist NOT portrayed as baby-eating demons.

Here in Arizona, adults can choose not to wear a helmet. I see all types of motorcyclists riding helmetless. The ones that really get me are the guys that have the helmet strapped to the bike as they ride without one. What is that all about?

peace,

CDM

I think the extra helmet is there in case they pick up a hottie at the bar.

Don't want to damage the prize before you can unwrap it...

isnt it obvious what its for?

Its there in case they crash, so they can just whip around real quick and put it on before they face plant the pavement. That way it doesnt "obstruct their view" or "muffle their hearing of surrounding traffic"...also it keeps the heat down.

Seems perfectly logical to me......

I always wear full gear (helmet, armored jacket, gloves, etc.), but I still hope my mom doesn't see that, or she'll be hounding me to quit riding more than she already does.
