Well sorted Triumphs and BSAs in the '60s were all about performance. The British invasion put to shame all the Harley pigs of the day. Europe was still rebuilding into the '70s. Japan was an enemy we never understood or liked, just tolerated until very recently. The Krauts were people like us led astray by a brutal dicatator. It always has and always will be about performance. But, one's definition of performance is a matter of personal preference.

One day you will be all misty-eyed over that Kawasaki and may even want to buy an old one to restore.

You gotta LOVE Egan. Next year he'll be buying an old bike - or two or three - again and we'll all be delightfully entertained.

And then a year or two after that, the old bikes will go away and new stuff will appear and the enjoyable cycle (nyuck) will begin again.....

Don't blow this. Buy both bikes!! If you can only handle one of them now then get that one with the promise to yourself that you'll get the other as soon as time and money allow. You'll regret it if you don't - now's the best time to buy those bikes before prices go through the roof.

You gotta wonder who picked that color combo. Bare metal and plastic would have been better.

I've still kept a secret desire to own a Black/Red '82 CB900F. That bike was sweet. There was one for sale along the road near my house a few years back and I didn't have the balls to pull the trigger on it. I still kick myself in the @ss over it.

I think that the Gold R5 was one of the prettiest of the Yammer 350s.

If I were a little guy, I'd be ebaying away for a CB400F. Honda did a great job with "F" models for a long time.

Ok, go to your internet explorer, select "tools". Now go to "security settings" and select "restricted sites". Add the URL for Ebay and bingo, no more Ebay for you.

Get the Yamaha.
