If my school teachers looked like that I would have spent a lot more time in class.

Good story... this country would be a lot better off if it was more like Europe and kids couldn't get a driver licence until they were 18. It would be just like Italy, they would all be on scooters and saving millions of tankers worth of gas!

I don't know if this is the reason that they ran the story, but about a week ago I sent an email to NPR suggesting that they do a story about sales of two-wheeled powered (TWP) vehicles as a result of gas prices. I included a link to the Ride to Work day web site http://www.ridetowork.org/ which has lots of good moto PR information. I think all of us MO FO's must do our part to get TWP vehicles considered a serious alternative to four wheeled vehicles. Otherwise, they will be considered toys and, as such, not considered in future planning by the people who design roads, traffic flows, etc.

Are you kidding? Every child is so precious that they need to be surrounded by 3 tons of steel at all times. I keep mine in a vault 'till it's time to go to school in the Hummer.

The AP ran a very similar story today. One instance: http://www.kirotv.com/automotive/9205183/detail.html

I'm curious to see how the market responds to a broader interest in 2 wheels. Folks who come over purely for the gas mileage would probably gravitate toward things like the Suzuki Bergman or a Honda PC800.

My eighth grade engrish teacher did...but I couldnÂ’t concentrate! 35 years later and I can still remeber her name though!
