I've seen the model on the Internet.

That model doesn't sell well because it is ugly, not because it is a standard.

You couldn't pay me to take that bike.

Totally off subject here, but how long is "Indian Larry Killed in helmetless stunt" going to be the most widely read story? Just wondering.

I used to own a Honda CB 750K and it may have been the most reliable mechanical device I've ever come in contact with.

These bikes are hardly ugly. Just different. I still love my 80 CB650. It's simple and effective, much like the CB750. And if you're into it i've seen a few really cool looking cafe racer's made from the CB750.

Oh and yes you could pay me to take the bike off your hands, but only if shipping was included. haha

Sounds like a good bike for $900, if I needed wheels I'd jump on it. Make it a Black '81 CB900F and I'd take it now.

I'm not surprised at all, but boy, oh boy, if there are different strokes for different folks ... that bike isn't for me.

I saw a really clean blue '81 CB900F for sale about 7 years ago. I still kick myself for not picking it up.

Pffft. If it were an 'F' model, you'd be bidding like everyone else! Or at least those of us old enough to remember when they were new, anyway.

Do you remember? When the CB750F in silver was the sportiest thing sold in the USA, and then Honda went and BORED IT OUT ALMOST TO A LITRE?!? Yowza!
