![]()

At the time I started riding, "bikers" were feared, and motorcyclists steered clear of them and had no desire to emulate them or be associated with them.
WTF? I know plenty of "bikers" who don't ride Harleys or Jap cruisers. And I don't give a good rat's ass what the general public thinks about anything. If a prissy bourgeois twit like yourself is what constitutes a "motorcyclist" you can count me in as a biker, cuz'. |

Dang, I guess I better cancel my order for a Triumph Scrambler. Maybe I'll get a nice, safe CBR1000RR instead. |

![]() There are plenty of other ways to give motorcycles a bad name. Like the nut case who may wear a race leathers and a full-face helmet (in the case of one local guy, with a red mohawk attached) but likes to pull wheelies on the interstate and otherwise ride like he is auditioning the role of a stuntman. Or the guy who the cops gave a 200 mph speeding ticket - sure, the measurement is probably bogus, but there are too many people who believe everything they read in newspapers.
Sure, most motorcyclists don't behave like that. The trouble is, these examples of misbehavior get noticed by the public just like stories about motorcycle gang wars. |

![]() Aerostitch needs to offer Roadcrafter suits in pinstripe with white shirts and ties printed on the front.

![]() That's "Mr." BMWdude to you pal!!!
![]() And yes, given the choice between looking like: 1) a "Brokeback Mountain Biker" You'd better believe I'm tough or I'll hit you with my man purse on a chain. OR 2) a "wanna race Rossi look-a-like". I'll stick with the moderate, uncommitted, middle of the road BMWdude label. |
