Harley = 57 Chevy

all harleys are variation of the same 57 Chevy

Ducati=Ferrari

Honda=Honda

Yamaha=Toyota

Suzuki=Nissan (not quite as good as Toyota or Honda but close)

Kawasaki=Mazda (Zoom Zoom)

Triumph=Jaquar (this is kind of hard since British Leyland is out of business i.e. MG, Triumph, etc)

BMW=Volvo (heavy and underpowered but ABS and link brakes make this a slam dunck)

I see the Buells as something like a Chevy Corvette -- having a well known, widely loved engine from a bigger vehicle stuffed into a small sporty chassis with quirky design features.

I had a T100 way back when.

I think the oil stain where I parked it is still there.

Yeah, but Triumph is now a different company with pretty decent engineering.

Jaguar is now Ford and building some decent cars but they still haven't replaced the XKSS.

Never heard of XKSS. Was it a forerunner of the XKE? Some say the XKE roadster was the most beautiful sports car ever made. I agree. My dad's cousin had a yellow one with side pipes. I remember my sister burned her nylons on them.

The new Mini of motorcycles, surely, is the new Triumph T100. Made in the same country as the original but by a company which isn't the same despite the name; looks the same but in fact it's bigger; and actually quite a good vehicle if you try one. Better than the original, possibly, in both cases.

"the klr 650 is the beat up old pickup truck" in the back of the barn "that still runs and will tow a good-sized boat when necessary"
