I still have my E-H snotrag that I picked up in Daytona. Ate dinner next to the Hanlon boys there, and they seemed to be snickering the whole time. Wonder why?

Yeah, I saw that article. The bike looked pretty good but I was some dissapointed they went with 2 valve pushrod set up instead of an OHC/4valve. After all, it is a new motorcycle - that is if it ever sees the light of day. Plus the Commando was a hot bike in its day and that tradition should be continued IMO

In the CW article Deer only needs $10 mil to make the rest of the Norton dream happen. This blog has what- 2000 subscribers. If we all send him $5,000 he's rolling. Or the AMA's 200,000+ members can send in $50 and Kenny's still rolling.

Dude, there are much cheaper ways to get anaerobic exercise than pushing a Commando down the street.

About 10 years ago I looked into importing and getting Indian Enfields certified by the DOT, AQMD & BAR for sale here in Kalifornia.

Just the AQMD & BAR nonsense would have run in excess of 200 grand. There was also something in the AQMD rules about running the bike for 24 hours straight in an airtight shed on a dyno to measure hydrocarbon leakage (!?).

That ended it.

I believe the trailer was loaded with a new infusion of investor cash. There was another trailer headed back in the opposite direction filled with false promises.

Two years ago I broke the kick shaft off my Superglide. Since it was kick only, I bump started it for 2 months until I got around to fixing it. Got my exercise in for sure on that stretch!
