Unless all that gold falls off!

I'd be scared to ride the damn thing for fear of messing it up.

I gotta say that is one clean Ninja!!! Of course a "24 Kt Gold Plated ZX636" is gonna make the cover of a "Motorcycle" Magazine. What are you high....???? Just the same as if Steve Saleen gold plated a Mustang, or Janet Jackson gold plating her breast, or if Tommy Lee gold plated his hog.....One of those instances would probably would be on at least one magazine cover too!!! Loosen up peeps, it's just a cool motorcycle,....and I'm sure Bubba will not be riding it on the street and will put it in a case somewheres cuz it don't GOT HEADLIGHTS!!! In the words of my Great Grand Pappy, " Don't Hate, Congratulate"!!! To be a Motorcyclist and not "appreciate" something like that after so many people put the effort into it is pretty week. Big Ups: to Two Bros, Kawasaki and everyone involved. Two Thumbs Down: to people who ride motorcycles( diff from "Motorcyclist") that can't appreciate a show off Gold Plated Sportbike! But maybe if was a Gold Plated CBR for some other guy,.....it would be way cooler...hmmmm food for thought.

ugh. I am sorry but just because it was given to a pro doesn't mean its not trashy. its vulgar and its trashy the way a heavy gold chain looks displayed on a hair chest with a open shirt.

The only application of gold in this field that I have not been scornful of was the use of gold plated foil in the engine bay of McLaren F1. Gold was used for its functional properties to shield the carbon fibre bodywork from the heat of the the catalytic converters and exhaust plumbing. Gold was used because it had the best heat reflective properties, i.e. because it the most functional metal for the purpose.

This gold plated motorcycle is about as classy as a gold tooth in a mouth full full of blackening decayed chompers.

This is where that whole "everyone has their opinion" thing appears...

I think it's great, I don't see bikes like that too often, and I think it's rather sharp! Let the guy show it off and enjoy it.

Yes, and have you noticed that the chopper coverage is starting to shrink. Their "custom" features have tended to be more about more performance-oriented creations and vintage bikes than choppers. Guess the love affair with "master builders" and the like has gone a bit sour.

The Chopper overkill (in all media) finally seems to be killing itself. (Thankfully.)
