The TT600 did not have that hesitation problem at speed. There is a slight hesitation at 3000rpm. A number of other bikes (Jap bikes included) have had the same problem, but the press doesn't mention those, because the Jap bike manufacturers wouldn't like it.

Here is how an honest comparison, say between the new Kawasaki 650 and the Suzuki SV650 would read if the testers were honest about how they felt about those bikes.

"Don't bother buying the Kawasaki, it isn't as good as the Suzuki and costs more." Any questions?

Thankfully this young character is still alive and ultimately doing well, but beyond that it's hard for me to have much empathy for the dude. Read on and you'll see what I'm talking about.--Pete

Well, I read on and learned about a guy who screwed up and paid a heavy price indeed. But he isn't whining, he isn't blaming anybody else, and he displays a lot of courage. So I don't see what you are talking about.--Greg

Let's stay on point here. This guy, for some reason, had a brain vapor lock and hit a truck head on. To be arguing about brands and fuel metering is inappropriate. There's not a one of us who hasn't scared the hell out ourselves at one time or another, and wondered later "what was I thinking?" I've done, and if you haven't, you're either a beginner, or a liar.
