I think it's amazing. I love looking at that thing. Blower? NO2? Although I would never own one, I sure would like to ride it. Once. Please?

Al was in college - or was it high school - when the internet (arpanet - sic?) hit.

He had no role - period.

Actually I was told by the military folks I used to work with was that the military invented it in order to facilitate communication[known then and now as the intranet]What Al Bore had to do with it,I don,t know.

Yeap, the military had a helluvalot more influence (in the early stages) than Gore did...

And can't we give this guy props for at least building such a beast of a bike? No, it's not practical and it's not really that rider-friendly but I'm guessing the bike isn't supposed to be a commuter or tourer...

Default Another Karl Rove smear shot down

from www.snopes.com

"Internet of Lies

Claim: Vice-President Al Gore claimed that he "invented" the Internet.

Status: False.

Origins: Despite the derisive references that continue even today, Al Gore did not claim he "invented" the Internet, nor did he say anything that could reasonably be interpreted that way. ..."

*** ***

So sorry all you dittoheads... looks like you'll have to find a different Bush political smear to mindlessly parrot.

Why don't you tell us the one about John McCains illegitimate black daughter? That was real classy.

In a March 1999 interview with Wolf Blitzer, Gore said, "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet."

Sounds like one could "reasonably interpret" his words that he created the Internet. Maybe that "Bush political smear" the "dittoheads" are quoting might be worth mindlessly parroting.
