They smell? What the hell do you mean, "They smell"? How do they smell? Good or bad? Or do you mean they actually take whiff every now and again?

I think that guy has been taking a whiff every now and again.

As owner of a 1996 Road King since 1997 I can state that:

1. Not a leak, ever.

2. Mine is quiet; if you mean air-cooled engine noise, well so what. My air-cooled FJ1200's innards are no quieter.

3. Smells just like any regular ol' motorcycle.

4. Never any major breakdown in almost 30 grand

5. Gets better mileage than my FJ, better than my friend's Blackbird

6. Yeah, uses oil; like maybe 2 oz between 3-4,000 mile changes.

7. Vibrates only at stop lights. Smooth while cruising.

I agree with one of the above posts; you have never spent any time with a Harley.

Default I've soiled my armor...

Ah, thanks for that. Call me a geek, but that's still one of the funniest movies ever made.

new main, pilot and needle with the S.E. air filter and breather and a round old style air cleaner cover plus the HD touring mufflers and I added highway pegs and a sissy bar. Pulls clean all the way to the peak at 5k or so and sounds crisp without waking the dead, so I'm pretty happy the way it is now.

I looked at the 6200rpm ignition, but going by the dyno with the set up I have power peaks between 4 or 5k anyway so adding revs without a cam and flowed heads wouldn't do much. I don't want to start throwing money at it, I just wanted to get rid of the lean popping and spluttering and the set up I have now works good. With the Superglide being a fairly light bike compared to a bagger or one of the Japanese cruisers it scoots along quite nicely.

Default You're one to talk Black Sox

Kind of like the umpire in last night's Black Sox game. Talk about getting cheated. Go Angels

Well you've got to throw money at it! Didn't you know H-D is going down the tubes?

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

If you've never seen it, it's worth renting...multiple times. Eh, or just buy the DVD...

The Life of Brian is pretty good, too.
