Default Re: ''I can save my own life'' thought of the day

Actually, I'd love it if just once, I could ride for more that five miles without some cagehead actively trying to play bumper-tag. The reason most of us have those dark moments is because some thoughtless moron was purposely performing a felonious assault with a 5,000 pound deadly weapon. I'd carry a 12-gauge as a sidearm to even up the odds if I wasn't fairly certain the recoil would knock me clean off the bike. The vast majority of us just want to be left the hell alone. Those squids who squirt through traffic at 50+ mph closure rates will sooner or later demonstrate the concept of Darwinian evolution, which means the problem is essentially self correcting. Keep dodging, folks, and let the squids fall where they may.

You might do not agree with me.
But my strong opinion is that we create our own safety on the road. We create our own REALITY - in all kinds of relationships: work, family, cageheads, other riders etc. Even with the road when seems that nobody involved - you still have a relationship with your bike, with the road, with whole environment.
I thought about it a lot and it changed my riding tremendously (and not only) after I watched this video Perceiving Reality

While we do create our own reality, we must also include in our reality the realities of others. Others can impose their will upon us; deliberately or by accident, with malice or good intent. Mr. Cuddy will vouch for that...

Default "I can save my own life" thought of the day

Pople always try to live as per their preservation, but it is not quite good. If they behave like that they will have to face so many problems. It should be stopped espacially in case of speed.

I dont want to say people have become very trendy. Everyone wants to become perfect, but it doesnt any matter if someone is not perfect in all aspect.

It's a leftover from MO v1.0 - that used to have a "header" post that could contain comments, information, pictures, etc. All that's left of those is the responses to the header posts - they didn't quite make it to MO-Two-Oh.

It DOES make some of the topics seem a bit odd, eh?
