I didn't say there was anything wrong with them. I've ridden the current generation VFR (at a high rate of speed next to Sean on the Tuono).

The press and web posters clamour for sport-touring bikes but very few buy them.

Erik Buell's comments at the beginning of the Cycle World article were pretty clear. "Sport Tourers don't sell."

I've got a Ducati ST4 so I'm definitely a S/T fan.

I just got rid of an Aprilia Futura, great bike. I want to be a S/T guy, I just want more S.

I dream about the long trips to distant shores, then realize I have two little kids and I should be happy with a couple of hundred miles a week.

My next Duc will be a ST4s, I like a little "quirk" with my bikes, the VFR doesn't provide that.

Yes! Stay home. Everybody. Prices on everything -- gas, food, hotel rooms, whatever -- is out of sight during the rally. Greedy politicians & vendors gouging the rallygoers. Crowds too big. Too many bikers ride once a year & get drunk & ride like crap.

If the rally died I'd celebrate.

Damn, the one guy who rode there got rear ended by a drunk. Now the rally is over. And in other news, 3 game wardens, 7 hunters and a purebred Guernsey cow were released from Jail in Sturgis to make room for 3 Accountants, 7 attorneys, and a bankrupt plumber.

Seriously though, best wishes to the family of the fellow who was killed, no amount of jail will for the screw up who hit him will make it right, hopefully the motorcyclist's family can find peace elsewhere.

Look a comment without a single political jab, it can be done!

Oh, Christ, now it's Kowboy Kook, the Rodeo Expert.

Can't wait to hear what breed of horse is the fastest, smartest, bestest to ride.

I could have mentioned that the last rodeo I was at was last July 4th in Mt Pleasant, Utah but it's more fun to watch him splutter more deluded garbage about his own "genius".
