I think they should donate one to the Hell`s Angels guy who got busted up at the Kid Rock concert. Better yet, how about running Kid Rock over with it!!!

For 55K it should be platinum plated.

They actually sent me a nice brochure! The fellow who designed the wraith ,actually came from an artist design school where he used to build motorcyle prototypes and then run them up and down on the second floor of the school! The guy was bussing tables, not making any money, called confederate motors and got a job! They liked him ,because not only did he design the wraith from scratch,he went with torch in hand and built it! First one did 130 mph at the bonneville salt flat!.Buddy of mine was ona highway at night zoomin along on his bmw r1150 rt,when says something was coming up behind sounding like a huge v-8 muscle car! Was a guy on a hellcat, that passed him like he was on a vespa, and kept going!.I could not afford one,but they seem to be a pretty cool company to work for. Also a bike that brings this much discussion, rather than another cookie cutter clone, gets my respect.

For 55k it should at least look no worse than, say, a K1200S.

At least it is from S. Louisiana, home of the best grub in North America.

And it is interesting looking...more art than a warehouse full of choppers.

But for $55k, I could have:

1. A cherry R90S AND

2. A cherry '77 R100RS with wire wheels and the euro ft. fender AND

3. A nice new Buell XB12X with bags & topbox AND

4. A late model sportbike with the usual susp mods, Heli bars (so my creaking bones will fit) AND

5. A nice new Ducati AND

6. 'Stitch, Vanson, boots gloves, etc., etc. AND enough money left to visit Vanson & RiderWhse in person to get measured up...

Now what would YOU do with $55k in bike mad money?

for 55k it should come equipped with your very own conferate nymphet, complete with denim short-shorts and an over-inflated checkered blouse.

I was in N.O. several years ago, before Jesse and the Teutels were all over the Discovery channel. I had no idea how a low volume builder operates. All I knew was the Hellcat I saw in Cycle World was brutally kewl, and I wanted to see one in person. So I walked down to the address on their website (since pulled), naively expecting to find some semblence of a showroom or at least a way of greeting potential customers.

I found nada - a very incognito operation, nothing at all to suggest there was a business there. Certainly not a motorcycle manufacturer. Undeterred, I called and asked if they had a Hellcat available to look at. I may as well have asked for the Colonel's recipe.

Maybe I can hack the code to Brad Pitt's garage door opener....
