After that last "improvement" of the VFR (VTEC + 30lbs) I'm not so sure it will survive any more "improvements".

I would imagine that the Chicago weather probably hasn't helped much either. Been beautiful here in No. Cal. I pick the boy up from school every day at 2:30 and we usually average between 100 and 200 miles of combined back road and dirt road exploring more on the weekends.

Are you thinking "SilverWing" from the ashes?

Weather is finally coming around the last few weeks. I just have so many things going on, it's hard to get those all-day rides in. Once the Busa is broken in, maybe a ride report is in order.

If you have a Triumph dealer anywhere nearby check out a Bonneville or T100. This is a do-everything OK bike. Comfortable, good for touring with windshield and saddlebags and fine for sporty riding on the street. It has a good torquey motor, sufficient brakes and suspension.

Pass up the Thruxton. The stretch to the bar is too long and puts too much weight on your wrists, plus you have to heave it into corners and haul it back out of them - like the old Brit bikes. The Bonne has better handling.

That was back in my rustic antiques and black coffee days.
