I'd say ride every bike you are interested in. Some are pretty in the showroom and some are pretty in the saddle. I'd make a few comparisons between women and bikes here, but I think you get it. Only you will know which is best for you and your needs. After owning two bikes and riding them like you have, I doubt any bike will be "too much".

Buz, I keep trying, but I somehow can't see you riding a Low Rider. I keep getting these funny visions of mullets and chaps. I can't get it out of my head. Help!

Default Good press but bad results

It's a shame that since the V Stroms have come out - I've test rode one, and only seen two on the highway. I rode the DL1000 and from what I could tell on a short ride, it's an awesome bike - but a bit of a hand-full if you're short (it sure ain't no curiser).

All things considered (1000 or 650) it would be my pick in the Swiss Army Bike catagory.

I see lots of recommendations for the old VFR. I have a new VFR (VTEC) and test rode both the Futura and the Ducati ST4 before I bought it. The VFR really is a great bike that does everything very well.

On second thought, wait until the 06 VFR is announced at the dealer conference in a month or so. More ponies? Less weight? Who knows. I hate buying a bike right before the "new and improved" model comes on the market.

Default Hey, who said anything 'bout the DL650?

I know, I know, I forgot about the DL, too. I'm sure it's better than the SV for longer rides. I actually don't think it's all that ugly, either. But definitely not a looker.

Default There is no controversy...

...about Sandra Bernhard's face.

I, however, think the Katana isn't bad looking. A little different, but not bad looking at all.

Sandra Bernhard is a little different and bad looking.

Getting there. Almost at 600 so I can do the 600 service myself and on to more RPM. Going slow, but with 3 bikes and an MO comparo bike, my riding days are filled. The Busa only gets every third day or so.
