Good. Include the Z750s as well. And I am still waiting for the Triple v. Buell v. whoever. I heard that there is a Super Duke on the loose too....

??? Shootout? The F4i, zzr600 YZF600R, and Daytona are all sportbikes. The SV650s is a "street" bike. By your criteria the new GSXR1000 is a street bike since it has lights.

Did you mean a shootout among "older-slower-600cc sportbikes-that are still in production"?

The SV650 needs to be compared against the Honda 600 Hornet, Ducati 620 Monster or Multistrada, Triumph Speed 4, etc...

I'd rather see a shoot-out between a Honda Big Ruckus and a Piaggio BV200.

I agree with Lowrez. If an SV is included, it should be the standard model, not the S model. The S model is not meant for longer rides.

Hey, the looks are much improved for 2005 with the all-black paint scheme. Everything is black. Plastic, frame, wheels....etc. Looks pretty good.

Yeah, the Bandit is in the price range, but Suzuki doesn't sell a Bandit 600 anymore, and they don't sell the 650 in the US...

Hell! Some of those bikes have been around for so long, I'd be willing to bet that a few of the loans have actually been paid off.

Come on... I think it's cool that you pay more for an old, overweight, old, slow, old, decrepit, old, piece of ancient trash Honda as you do for a brand-spanking-new GSX-R600. Sure the Honda is more user-friendly, more comfortable, and a much better bike for most people -- especially me. But how could I live with myself knowing that I have 3-year-old stuff?
