from the SV650 MSRP: $5,949.00 as the lowest priced.

to the Honda F4i MSRP: $8,499.00 as the highest.



isn't that a pretty large gap?

how about this:

"best bike for under $7,000."

While another 600 shootout might be interesting... I believe that more of us would be interested in a supersport-tire shootout, such as the pirelli diablo vs. pirelli diablo corsa vs. michelin power vs. a bridgestone product. Personally, I buy a lot more tires than motorcycles, and there has been a lot of advancement in tire technology, that not many publications have tested.

I'm more interested in street riding reviews, too. One caveat: you must ride them like a daily ride. To me that means throwing on luggage (note which ones can and can't take a tank bag or saddlebags), lots of riding on rough pavement, and generally getting the feel for how a bike works as a mode of transportation, not just a joy toy.

I agree. A reality bike shootout would be one of the most useful articles written. I dont even read any more articles about the 600 supersports. They all seem to say the same thing.
