Yep, as long as you include some needed mods. Who leaves these bikes stock?

I'd like to see more comfortable/versatile models reviewed (of all displacements), bikes that are good all around and don't kill your wrists during commuting.

I'd really like to see such a test. The 600 race replica group is reviewed by everybody and ultimately boring. They are all so similar that any difference between the machines can be obliterated by a small difference in rider ability. The calmer street bikes in this displacement category are livable everyday commuter-canyon-sporttouring bikes, but still have enough power to get you in serious trouble with the local authorities. As a street bike, I know the YZF600R creams all of the race replicas. I would like to know how it stands up against the other guys in its class.

Attention squids: Let the flaming begin.

I actually made this suggestion to Sean Alexander while I was an intern at MO (and even suggested the same bikes that you have except for the SV650). While he didn't dismiss the idea outright, he didn't seem too hot on it either. I think this would be an article MO readers could really use and maybe one of the most informative articles to published at MO.

So MO readers, please show a vote of support for this idea, maybe he'll listen to you guys.

Ha ha! The proposed test models aren't the cutting edge supersports. They are the slightly less performance oriented older models. At one time they were cutting edge. Now they are as obsolete as steam engines. Most've been around long enough that they've all been written about many times. Except the the ZZR and the Trumpet. That's the one I'd like to see.

I dont know if the triumph fits with these other bikes, i realize triumph is traditionally more of a "street bike" manufacturer... but the new triumph supersports are aimed at the big 4's supersport bikes. The daytona honesty would leave those other bikes in the dirt. Even MO has an article about the 04 600's (not even the 650s) being quick... if youre going to put a triumph in there... use a speed four... the daytona isnt the same bike as the others

Even the ZZR has been around for a long time. It is the last gen ZX-6R afterall.

I threw in the SV650S to include Suzuki but maybe the Katana would be a better fit.

The Daytona would leave the F4i and ZZR (former '98-'02 ZX-6R) in the dirt? I'd like to see the numbers on that one.

Re: Yep!

Can you tell us what bikes will be included and when we will see the report?
