Go to Harbor Freight, look for the gas tank sealer. I stick of sealer for $2.50. Works wet or dry.

That, or a can of Permatex Motorcycle Tank sealer for $15.00. 24 hour dry time.

Where's it leaking from? The seam? Gas valve?

I've done this twice over the years. If the tank is steel drain it thoroughly. Wire brush the paint off of the cracked area. Make sure that you expose the entire crack, looking especially for any hairline crack. Then wash the tank out thoroughly with soap and water. Put a garden hose in the tank and run water through it for about 10 minutes. That should eliminate gas fumes. Then take it to a professional welder and have it brazed. Then paint the exposed metal.

Both times I did this the tank never leaked again.

If it is plastic then you are shyt out of luck.

i had the worst experience w/Kreem...the guy who did it didn't put the solvent in for a long enough time and the kreem peeled off/cracked and then ended up fouling my pet***** and carbs...now the bike awaits a tow to my friends house because i'm giving it away.

If it were anyone besides you or Sean I'd go with the conservative approach but seeing as who's aksing just send your family to Wall Mart for cookies and have at it with an acetylene torch and a brazing rod.
