Agreed: As I stated above ,no practical reason at all...strictly to get a leg up on the opposition.Remember, the high dollar chopper field is form over function------how they look in the show is more important than how they fare on the street

Default Something, I saw...

In Cycle World, about a year back, I saw a chopper, some Swedish-Guy made with an engine outa'va VTR. It was light as-Hell and looked awesome, even-if it was painted orange! I mean, the guy really did a Nice Job!

Me; I can't imagine OCC putting-out anything that nice.

Then, again: Ya giv'a Swede, 50lbs of Dingo-Balls; and he'll figure-out how to make somethin practical, out of it.

This makes as much sense as a carbon fiber tractor chassis. If some Bozo will pay for it, then more power to RM. Capitalism and self-interest are beautiful things, but they often produce bizarre offspring. And we are free to laugh about it. This is a great country.

What next, titanium triple clamps?

I think I figured it out. It's to save weight so the bike is easier to load onto the trailer or the back of the Harley-edition F150. That way you can put 24" chrome spinner rims on the trailer and not have to worry about the extra loading height. What will they think of next?

Could be worse. They could have used Gold Wing frames.
