Jeeez, what's wrong with you, longride? Don't you know that you are supposed to spend all your spare time cowering in your home watching television and then calling your elected representatives to enact legislation to save you from all those dangers out there when the media chaos-merchants press the right button?

Better sell your bikes and buy a minivan. Otherwise you might get a whiff of sidestream smoke and immediately collapse with agressive lung cancer. Or you might eat a Whopper and instantly die of clogged arteries.

Depend on the govt to protect you. Look what a great job the govt did with its stringent standrads governing the release of Vioxx.

i currently average 18 to 20,000 miles a year, rain or shine, and have been riding full time since 1996; i have also never taken an msf course. while i always recommend msf courses to newbies, taking the course is not an accident-free riding guarantee.

doesn't an increase in new riders also mean accident and fatality numbers will increase as well?

He'll be fine. I bought my first H-D in 1996 at the ripe old age of 32. I too had all the gear. Now I think I own one t-shirt. I still ride H-D but I don't wear the H-D underwear.

Default Alice, to Kpaul...

Would that be...Voice-of-Reason or, a voice, without a reason?

Now, ya got me all confused!

Wait! I got it...

"I've often heard a voice, without a reason," said Alice, "but a reason, without a voice, is most peculiar!"

Nope, that ain't it...
