I had a pit-pass for the '71 USGP at Carlsbad, Feets Minert would wait for the leaders to lap him on the uphill-downhill section, and then dice with them on his B50. Quite a show. One pit-tootsie standing next to me almost got knocked down with a wad of roost from the mighty Beezer.

That's when team Yamaha consisted of the Jones Bros, and some real radical DT/RT1's.

I forget who won, I think Gary Jones, 250, and DeCoster in the 500. If you ask me, MX turned to sissydom when they dropped the 500 class.

It's a shame. Dirt riding is going to be on the endangerd species list. It seems I hear about 1000's of acer's here a track facility there closing to dirt riders all the time.

Between the tree huggers and the ever expanding concrete jungle we are all going to have to supermotard our dirt bikes and take to the streets.

Default Okay, so I can't spell for crap...

Okay, okay I'll say it first. I shouldn't post without a spell check. In my defense I am installing and configuring a new server at work while I post so neither are getting my full attention. Which means the server is going to be as f'ed up as my post if I don't start concentrating.

Anyway, support dirt riding and save 1000's of acer's of land!

Â…and later, in the pits with a couple of buddies. IÂ’d found a long stick, and was pointing out something on Dave BickersÂ’ Greeves with it, when his mechanic, thinking I was about to strike the Griffon, went ape, and chased us away.

Then, after the stick incident, we found some hippy chicks smoking dope in the bushes, over by the drop-a-way. Man, that was intergalactic.

Ah, the memories come flowing back, like a bad case of diarrhea. 7 posts! Ha.

I'm holdin' my breath for that one.

Would a GT shootout be to much to ask? I'm a subscriber to MO! Shouldn't I know how the new beemer stacks up against the Busa and the XX?

Or how about something on the Rocket?

How about a real dual sport shootout? KLR, vs DL vs the big honda?

Anyone Ride a Vulcan 2000?

Or the GXR-750???

MO sure isn't keeping up very well with these "slow" times.
