R 1150 RT and/or R 1200 GS; both are great sport tourers but the RT fits your definition of "heavyweight."

The Sprint ST deserves its day in the sun. I don't think you've ever included it in any shootout.

Yeah, throw in a Connie. I have one. It will finish dead last, but with a few inexpensive mods is a good handler. And it has solid if not spectacular liter bike power. And let us keep in mind $$. A twenty year old design that is still a competent sport tourer and an incredible bargain.

yeah, I am wrong. It's not a "new" model, but it's back. I was a total idiot on the last post. Hence, "ignore me."

we all have off days, I guess. Except kpaul.

That's ridiculous. I understand it should not be an accessory shoot out, but whether factory bags are standard - i.e. included in the base price - or not is a marketing decision. It does not define the bike, has no relationship to how it was designed and to what it is good for.

Yes, you can get it with Givi bags as an option. The cap doesn't like that solution, but I think it's just fine and the ZZR would make a great sport tourer.

You can pick up a ZZR or VFR with bags from the dealer. Have the option done before it's picked up. Regardless of accessories or not, the idea is to find the best sport tourer. To be able to remove the bags is a plus in my book anyway.
