Hey, that's not fair! I'll bet a lot of people in the Ukraine believe we're still fighting the Indians out west. I know this to be true because there are people living as close as New York who still think so.

I sometimes wish I could still afford to live there.

Sobering, shocking, unbelivable!

And some politicos in this country want to revive the nuclear power industry!

Even with the technology we are using in the west, it is very possible to have the same thing happen anytime, we were just lucky at three mile island. This lady deserves an incredible amount of credit for revealing such a graphic and brave story. Give her free lifetime membership.

Been there. Done that. I took a vacation out there riding. Un-friggin' impressed.

You can have Highway 1. I've got the Dragon. You can have the Pacific, I've got the Appalations. You can have your socialist, gun grabbing, high tax, low horsepower crap.

I've got no state income tax, cheap gas, and where I live, you don't have to be a millionaire to get a concealed carry license. We think poor people should be able to protect themselves too.

Default Life out West

How could anybody in Utah have time to fight Indians when they all have 6 wives ? Everybody knows that.

Sounds like typical blather from someone that knows nothing about nuclear technology.

Keep in mind that what you are suggesting is increased power costs for everyone, hurting the poor the most, and higher pollution.

Yeah, and the more of them we build, the less chances that Osama will hit one of them, right Froman? Here in AZ they had a guy flying a plane right next to Palo Verde Nuclear Plant last year, luckily for everybody in the Phoenix metro area, and the whole South West for that matter, he was only a confused sap in a small aircraft.

Remember, when one goes bad, the area, and that is a big area, is dead for hundreds if not thousands of years. At that point, being poor, rich or even alive means nothing! Being dead is probably more desirable, at least you are out of your misery!

Ummmm. You're confused. Like it or not, nuclear power is probably the "greenest" of our current options. You can worry about the possibility of terrorists flying into nuclear power plant. Myself, I'm far more concerned with the definite effects of burning coal. Stuff like acid rain and heavy metal release. Burning coal also releases quite a bit of radioation into the atmosphere. See:

Whatever. I loved Elena's story and thought that she was a total hottie. She's welcome to come to NM anytime and ride to the Trinity Site with me.
