I don't care. Aside from televised broadcasts of actual racing (if that's what you're into), there hasn't been a TV show yet about a form of transportation that didn't suck. (Except airplanes. Airplanes are very cool onscreen.) Think about it: Herbie the Lovebug, the Loveboat, Knight Rider, some crap with Clint Eastwood and a monkey and a semi, Airwolf, or some 30 minute infomercial on cable channel 60+. And please don't get me started on "Torque." They blow. You might enjoy them despite the fact that they blow-- or even because of it-- but they still blow. I haven't seen it, but I'm sure there's some snowmobile program out there that is just terrible.

Getting up and doing it is always better than sitting on the couch watching somebody else do it. (Think porn.) Plus, TV always has to change things things from the way they really are. Since riding a motorcycle is pretty cool to begin with, the only place to go is downhill.

So when Saturday morning roles around MOrons, turn off the boob-tube and ride. If it's raining, spend some quality time with your ride in the garage making it better/faster/safer. (Or play MotoGP online. For some reason video games about various forms of transportation are often quite good. Maybe it's the interaction.) But leave the TV programs to those who try in vain to destroy pick-up trucks with their Harleys and then propose to their girlfriend to distract you from their shame.

What about websites with forums about forms of transportation? The Sunday evening time you spent contributing here could have been spent riding. (I live in Calgary so my season goes from late April to late OCtober, that's my excuse)

I hope someone puts together a quality motorcycle racing program. Why did they keep the motoworld title with this show? The show on Saturday was terrible.

That new MotoWorld show was unforgivably bad. The host desperately needs to be shot. He was a 30-something whitebread dork who was trying to be 50 cent. Even my 9-15 year old neices and nephews thought he was a dork. So he doesn't appeal to mototheads from 9-36 years old. Bad move, Spike. The show made BikerBoyz seem good.

On the other hand, there was a show called Top Dead Center on this weekend (can't remember which channel) and it was really good. They covered the new 260ft dirtbike jump record. In the segment, they went into the engineering calculations and the process of doing the stunt. Very cool - not just a moron twisting the grip whilst listening to speed metal.

"Right now, the sad fact is that too many Americans are working harder and harder and earning less and less," Clark said. "Under George W. Bush, the typical working family has seen its income fall by nearly $1,500. Compare that to the eight years under President Clinton (news - web sites), when the typical family saw its income rise by $7,200.

speed is owned by fox, and most if not all of their motorsports programming comes from speed

I guess I ain't a "real biker" because I don't always ride on saturday - I usually run on my own two feet that day. But I ride every other day of the week cuz I don't own no stinking four-wheeler...guess I should get rid of my beemers and buy a harley so's I can be a real biker and ride only one day a week and look kewl...oh, and jus so's ya knows I do ride every now and agin, I've been rid'n for something like 32 yrs, but most Harly riders don't consider me a real rider cuz I don't profile on Saturdays... ya'll have a good day now, ya hear...

43 and rain. I'm disappointed, too. And truth be told I'm a fair-weather rider.

Does anyone besides me think that 10 o'clock on Saturday morning is the worst possible time for a motorcycle show? If you do then go to the website and click on the Parts Unlimited link and submit your comments. It's bad enough that Speed Channel has practically abandoned motorcycle shows, they should rename it the Nascar Network.
