Face it. This is a classic case of someone who believes that he is above the law. The government says that in America this is not possible, but every day we see more and more officials prove that to be a lie. South Dakota, tell the government to put its money where its mouth is and make an example out of this guy. What better case than a guy who has such a long history of wanton disregard for both the law and the safety of others. Not to mention the arrogance in thinking that the same laws that we are expected to follow, do not apply to him.

Hang him high, I'll bring the rope.

Default Do I smell a potential Sturgis boycott?

Do I smell a potential Sturgis boycott? (for anything less than 2nd degree manslaughter?) Money talks....

"second-degree manslaughter can be charged if evidence suggests death was caused by recklessness, which is defined as a conscious and unjustifiable disregard of substantial risk"

Running a stopsign without looking? If that isn't a "conscious and unjustifiable disregard of substantial risk", I don't know what is. And the "didn't see him" defense better not work. All modern HDs have headlights on with the key. If he didn't see him, he didn't look, especially since he looked (or should have looked) to the East, and it was 4:30pm, so the sun was in the west, no potential visibility problems.

Let's hope the AMA gets behind the manslaughter charge. If he gets off with failure to stop, there will undoubtedly be a firestorm.

Anyone hear why he was on the backroads instead of I-29? Look at a map, the quickest way to brandon HAS to be I-29 South to I-90 East. Is there construction on I-29?

.....OR.....

Was he driving on the backroads so he could drive like an idiot where there are less cops?

Put him in jail with some Hell's Angels. It'll all be over after the 12th corn holing.

Yep, by then all the hell's angels won't be able to sit for a while...

Me and my brothers got into a conflict with a member of the Hells Angels last year on a flight to Reno. Let me tell you, Hells Angels are very quiet and not very confrontational (even after they've been told to phuck off) when they're in the airport alone, outnumbered, and weaponless.
