This is proof that the preimer class has been headed down the wrong road for quite some time now. Sad,...Hey what about this idea rip off all the electronics and go back to two strokes. Dummies!!!

"this sport has changed a lot and it has changed to the point where I am not enjoying it."

MotoGP has it's problems, what racing venue doesn't? But I think what Stoner is saying is true: he's been racing since he was a little kid, MotoGP takes an enormous committment, and he's tired of it. He said in one interview that he felt like he's in prison when he's on the circuit.

I also noticed his wife isn't on the circuit with him this year; I'm pretty damn sure she's got a big hand in this.

What else can Stoner prove by staying in? He's going out on top, something a lot of racers (like "El Doctorola) could learn from. I have a new-found respect for the little Ozzy.

His wife gave birth in February, so that's probably why she hasn't been as present this year. Of course, the fact he's a dad now might be another factor in Stoner's decision.

And it could be because it's damn-hard to get Doritos and a chili-dog at Assen....

(not-so-obscure "stoner" reference)

The little chit was denying this rumor just a week ago: "Don't believe what you hear around the paddock. I'm not retiring."
