If he'd parked it in a parking garage with lots of other bikes in it (and if some of those were recently ridden) it would have made things a bit more difficult for the cops, especially if there was no entry/exit monitoring system at said garage.

Either that or invest in stealth aircraft technology for his bike ...

And there was no chase, really. Which is good for him because he'd probably wrecked his bike and killed himself if there had been an actual chase.
