...Well just talked to Colin and he said that he sort of shot himself in the foot today...They started the day on the Valencia set up and went down hill from there...He was also a little jet lagged and he said quote "I just had my head up my ass"...After a good nights sleep, he is sure they will get it tomorrow (weather permitting)and they were all on race tires today and if you remember, Colin's best time at the last test there, on a "race" tire was a 42.7 !!...He sounded confident and said that Barros only turned a couple of laps in the 42's and dumped it once, so it wasn't that easy

...BYW...You guys are on the ball, here I am waiting for Colin to call, then I check the site and there is 25 posts on the testing today...Keep up the good work...Snr

Re: Jerez IRTA Test, Day 1
So far as I have heard, nobody has any pictures of the swingarm or suspension system on this bike. I think this is the first official confirmation that it even exists - although it had been rumored for the past couple of weeks.

Re: IRTA Jerez Day 2

Heavy morning rain spoils MotoGP testing in Jerez

Today´s second day of the official IRTA testing session for MotoGP in Jerez de la Frontera was badly affected by poor weather conditions, as sporadic rain-storms hit the Spanish track, not allowing the asphalt to dry completely until the final hour. Most riders made it out onto the circuit, but none of them were able to improve on their times from yesterday´s first day of testing. Alex Barros, who was fastest out on the track yesterday, decided to play it safe after having already had his fair share of wet weather testing this winter. He made just eleven laps today, with Shinya Nakano clocked as the fastest rider around the circuit after having completed 38 laps. The Japanese 25 year-old put in some more valuable laps on the Yamaha M1 under the damp conditions, but with the tarmac only drying out late on in the day when temperatures had dropped, he still remained two seconds behind his time from the first day, with a 1:45.214.

Besides the testing, today was the first chance to see the new livery of Team Suzuki when Kenny Roberts and John Hopkins emerged for several laps in the afternoon. This comes after the American duo had their official team presentation at the circuit yesterday evening. They join the Fortuna and Gauloises Yamaha teams who are now riding in full colours after their factory quartet were presented at a luxurious ceremony just prior to this test, as well as the Ducati Marlboro team, who are also premiering their new racing attire.

Just found this -- very cool!

Who'da thunk it -- twin shocks are back!

Re: Jerez IRTA Test, Day 1
Check it out -- looks like they have a piece of old innertube for a rear brake pedal return spring. Looks like something I would do!
