On the highway if you don't see me wave it's because my attention is totally on the Interstate in front of me and I'm not paying the slightest attention to the traffic flowing in the opposite direction.

In the city it's because I don't dare take my hands of the controls for an instant.

Too many cagers applying make-up while yacking on the cell phone and yelling at their kids in the back seat.

Or kill me because the Eagles aren't here? It's like this 90 percent of the time here so I don't know a whole lot about "winterizing" my motorcycles.

After 40 years of riding I have the wave down to a science. I wave or nod, depending on whether on a straightaway or curve. If I know the person saw me and they choose to ignore me, I then raise a certain digit into the air, hoping they are looking in their rear-view mirror. Hey...it makes me feel better.

You mention 17 year olds on small bikes-- how about 44 year olds on small bikes?

I have to say it made me laugh! One of the first things my dad told me 27 years ago when I finally was old enough to ride on the street was " when you see another bike on the road you wave" Period. If you see a bike on the side of the road you stop and see if their ok. Period. Its not a tough call- do it! Thanks Dad

Yeah, the logic behind their auto-censor routine is pretty bizarre.

Don't even think about posting c*ck, even where the context makes it clear that it is not referring to the male organ.

Okay, point taken. I can't tell how old you are if you're in a full-face helmet. Unless you have very loud Nike Air Things on your feet, which suggests you're under 20. Then again, the grey ponytail out the back of the helment also gives away the 45+ types but we won't go into such sensitive areas now...

well, I have both, Harley and Honda.

Riding the SAME road, sometimes the same day. I get return waves from the harley boys while I'm on the Electraglide.

On the RC51.. no returns from the 'boys'

enough said?
