Default Hit from behind...

I saw this story on Yahoo! and thought I should share. It's a grim reminder to keep your eyes peeled at all times, even behind you.

3 Phoenix motorcycle riders killed in truck crash - Yahoo! News

RIP, good souls!

I can never get over the absurdity of the comments posted by some people whenever something like this happens.

(to the downers commenting on that site) Christ, Man! Is your life such a shytefest that you've got to make yourself "feel better" by mocking the deaths of these riders? Sow the breeze, reap the whirlwind. Your Kharma.

Checking one's six is important, but when you look back and see a dump truck barreling down on you it's a wonder what you could really accomplish other than praying for a painless death and to be absolved of all your sins.

I'll be pouring out a 40 for these poor folks... died caught under the truck that caught fire, I hope it was swift and painless... ugh

Oh yeah? Imagine if it had been Congressmen or Celine Dion caught under the dump truck. I bet you'd be singing a different tune then, eh?

The article I read said the truck driver admitted he was "shuffling paperwork" and "not paying attention."

Manslaughter...

I wonder if the old "I didn't see 'em" excuse will work. Kinda hard to see 8 Harley's at a stoplight.

The driver of the dump truck should have been pulled from the cab and beaten to death with a flaming Harley part.

The first time someone rear-ended me, I was in my pan-off resto '67 VW Beetle with a 2180cc 170 HP motor, Mexican cases, rhino case transaxle with a super diff, HD side plate, 48 IDA Webers, all the trick stuff. Ruined. Every bit of it. Some idiot in a mortuary van out drumming up business. He left the country to go back to Armenia before I could sue him, A total loss of around $10,000.00 not to mention all the blood and tears assembling the damn VW...

The second time was a lot worse. I have tried to forgive that ******* that rear-ended me, to try and move on with my life (or what's left of it) but I find it impossible. 35+ years on the street and one idiot ends it in a split second. Living in a chair is no fun.

There will always be worse things than dying.
