Default I really never thought they would post this.

I sent it in as a thought provoking suggestion to the MO Staff. I honestly never thought they would post it. I am sure Burns will not have them post anything I send in again. Burns is complaining but it did get a lot of hits, posts etc. P.S. I learn a lot each time you post.

Little jump off topic. If motogp really wants a class where no single manufacturer or engine configuration has the advantage, they need only remove all displacement restrictions and minimum weights. Parity is best established on modern sportbikes by limiting tire contact patch size. The only rules should be to insure what's on the track is a motorcycle and that it is safe to ride and watch, i.e. won't explode. If all the manufactures have to run there bikes on an agreed upon tire width, the effective power is limited by that width. Imagine a 1600cc v-twin ducati vs. 1000cc v-four honda vs. 600cc two stroke yamaha; etc. You might even see Buell out there with a 2000cc push-rod, air cooled twin.
