I know there is someone out there ready to complain about this being a "fluff piece", but I enjoy this "story behind the story" reporting.

His rides on the old vr1000 Harley don't stigmatize him as slow and unreliable...

This is a great ad for the WERA national (and sportsman) series. Those are some fun events, well run, and really good close racing. Better value for money than many of the AMA events!



Someone needs to put Mike on a superbike...

I agree, he is such a skilled rider and he sufferred with harly for so long that he deserves a ride with a good team to show that he still has what it takes to win. He just needs the chance but with all the teams shrinking this year the outlook does not look good.
