As it happens I worked for the University of Washington for thirteen years before I came to work here, It was a good place to work but they paid peanuts compared to what I make in private industry.

I'm still rank and file, my position as an Operations Coordinator is more than a Lead Man but not quite a first line manager.. I wouldn't give up my hourly position for a salary because I'd lose my protection and seniority, I can make up the difference in pay with OT

Thanks for the great responses.

I ride a 2006 suzuki boulevard M50. It has a single front disc brake, and a drum in the rear. I would say that 2 fingers is enough to bring me to a normal stop, or to scrub off some speed as I ride. However, if I need to stop quickly, I can really get on the front brake pretty hard with 4 fingers.

I think I will stick with the 4 finger approach for now, at least till I get some more experience under my belt. I am at about 500 miles so far.
