Good sammaritan

A few days ago it rained (Monday). I normally have a silver cover over my ninja which is tattered and torn from winter (you know those cheap 40 bucks ones) and I haven't really gotten around to buying one. I have the money but I am saving up before I decide to splurge. Anyway, I woke up on Tuesday and I was going to work but couldn't find my motorcycle. Could not see my silver cover. There are six motorcyclists in my complex including me. So I peak under a cover that seemed to have my bike shape and voila, my bike is there. Some good Samaritan gave me a freakishly nice cover. Really good quality and durable material. I think I know the guy who gave it to me but I don't know his address. I've seen him riding and I've asked him to help me a few times with my bike but still not sure what his house number is. My dilemma is, what exactly do I do with the cover? Does he want it back after a period of time? Should I keep it? I decided to put it on my bike to see if he would take it back but I wish he could have left his contact number so I could at least thank him and pay him for the cover. Would it be rude to pay him for the cover?

No, it would not be rude to pay him for the cover. But you're not obligated to, either. Yes, you should keep it. Also keep an eye out for this guy and just talk to him the next time you see him.
