Best beginner bikes

I am about to take the bike course next month. What would be the best sportbikes for a new rider? What should the max dollar amount be on my first purchase?

None.
No "sportbike" is good for a first time rider.
There are numerous threads about that on here already.
Please look around a bit and read some of them.
Then get back to us with specific questions.

Your first bike should be:
Used.
Small.
Inexpensive (which is somewhat relative, depending on the person)
and NOT have a lot of plastic body work.
