so lately i've made up my mind in making the jump to get a bike since most of my friends are getting them, since a lot of them are new riders themselves they cant answer questions i have so i figured id look for a good resource community online to get myself educated.
hope to learn a lot here my first bike ever, thinkin on a supermoto or a street bike all suggestions welcome okay so names marty, im from nyc and most of my friends have gotten into supermoto bikes. I've been building a interest into bikes for some time now and with each new bike i see on my block it just makes me want to go and get one myself. one of my main concerns is the fact that majority of my friends who ride supermoto's are smaller then i am, i am 6'2 and weight about 270lbs. i wouldn't want to look to big on the damn bike, my friend who taller then me says he feel out of place on them and went to get a street bike. then i wouldn't want to jump and get myself a big bike because honestly I've never ridden a bike before so i am a total brand new rider in all aspects. i don't know if that makes a difference or not but then i wouldn't know if id take a spill or not, which would suck big time. the bikes i am interested in are SUZUKI -DR-Z400SM -GSX-R1000 -Hayabusa or a Yamaha haven't really checked up on any yet but generally like them two brands. if anyone has any suggestions or advice please share with me and let me know what you guys suggest keep in mind i barely know much about the whole bike stuff but i am willing to learn as much as i can from people who know what the are talking about. |

1. Read the New Rider sticky.
2. Sign up and take the MSF Beginning Riders Course. 3. Re-think "which bike should I get" or you could always go for a hoverboard, McFly |

Fun Facts to Know and Tell! Thomas Jefferson wrote that the 1st Amendment erected a "wall of separation" between the church and the state (James Madison said it "drew a line," but it is Jefferson's term that sticks with us today). The phrase is commonly thought to mean that the government should not establish, support, or otherwise involve itself in any religion. Its.......A FACT! |
