So I spring is here, well in about two days. Today was really hot (70 degrees) so I took off my motorcycle cover, put gas in my motorcycle (it had none when I settled it for winter) and rode to the dealership. I needed to fix my bent gear shifter because I had dropped the bike. Anyway, bike is fixed and running smooth. Rode around for two hours. Anyway, I was wondering if there is anything you need to do to the bike after winter?
ps. A lot of motorcyclists out today. Waved to a lot of them. |

Check the condition and pressure of the tires, you didn't comment on any running-problems, so bad gas and gummed-up carb internals shouldn't be a problem (THIS time - did you put fuel-stabilizer in the tank, and completely-fill the tank when you put it away? HMMMM?!!! You got lucky, if you didn't.).
Change the oil, if you didn't do-so last fall. Pull the seat, and look behind panels and in the airbox for signs of rodent-damage and intrusion. Especially the wiring. Lube and check the adjustment on the chain. If the bike is more than two years old, consider changing the coolant. Use pre-mix, unless you're willing to mix your own with distilled water. It will take far less than a gallon, most-likely. Wash it, give the painted surfaces a bit of wax. Enjoy the Ride!
