![]() I'm not getting a new bike any time soon, but while I'm dreaming I'd like your thoughts on these choices for a first bike and your opinions on other appropriate models. Thanks!

![]() The TI is the coolest starter bike on the market. And it handles and rides amazingly well for the price.
Having said that, the bikes are so close mechanically and performance wise, it's really a matter of taste. You might want to wait and see the new Honda CBR 250 that's coming soon. |

![]() I really like the styling of the TU, I hope by the time I've got the money there will be a used one on the market. If there isn't, is it worth buying new?

![]() Sure, the TU is under 4k brand-spanking new, that means you get a 36,000 mile warranty, and the fun of having it fresh from Japan. Seriously, why buy used and not know what you're getting? Even if you get a bigger bike later, the TU is a keeper you can take out for ****s and grins on a Sunday afternoon.

![]() Dude, If you are only dreaming, then dream for a MV Agusta F4CC. $120,000.
Who dreams of a TU 250? Jeez. It's like fantasizing about Bristol Palin. |

![]() You dream about 120,000 bikes only after you've had your first bike.
Anyway, I have a ninja so of course I'll be biased. I love it and I nearly cried when I got it. I have never been so happy to hand over 2000 dollars in cash to someone. But I admit when I was looking at bikes, I was looking at things I would never buy. You'd find me in the bmw section drooling over 25000 dollar bikes as though I had the money to buy them. Anyway, as someone mentioned before, Honda is coming out with a 250 that will rival the ninja and I must admit the damn thing looks good. |
