Typically- newer bikes aren't sold in pieces. If you are willing to spend about $1500 you can afford a middle 2000s Ninja 250 or 500 that will happily commute your butt anywhere with little worry. If you look real close you can find old Ninja 600e bikes from 1998-2003 for the same price.

How does the previous generation Ninja 250's compare to the new models? I really like the looks of the new one but is that the only difference?
