Default Just got my bike

This really isn't much of an advice thread but I just got my bike today and I'm excited about it so I thought I'd share it! It's a 2005 Kawasaki ninja 250. I rode it around the parking lot (illegaly) cause I'm not insured and I have yet to register it. Anyway, I have always wanted to put this on this forum

Name: ghettoe
Bike: Kawasaki ninja 250
sex: Female
Age: 18
Comments: I am officially the proud owner of a ninja! *extremely excited*

ps. After slaving a minimum wage job for three months I can finally ride. I feel like quitting my job after my next paycheck.

Get into an MSF course. It will save your life. You'll need that check for tires, oil changes, gas, valve adjustments- oh, I could go on. Glad you're with us. Advise we have. Some cynical, some humorus, some completely inappropriate. If you're not yet political, I suggest staying out of that thread. Enjoy your look around and remember that MO staff actually engage the MOrons here.

I did take the course about a week ago. After insurance and registration. I'll hit the streets.

ghettoe,

Congratulations!

Make sure you get a good set of PPE (helmet, gloves, boots, jacket). As an Instructor told me years ago, "Dress To Crash."

Remember, the cagers out there are not actually trying to kill you. The reality is, they don't even see you.

Keep us posted on your adventures and progress!

Good luck, and keep the shiny side up!
