Ironically the ONLY people I know that have gotten speeding tickets on the parkway were on bikes, not that cars dont get them..... I'm just sayn'.

AND about motos gettin' tickets on the BRP.

I'm in Southwest Missouri - but have ridden a sizable chunk of Appalachia - I love that area. Perhaps because it reminds me of the Ozarks, only everything is a bit more "bike friendly", and the aggregate they use on the roads sticks to tires really well.

I do feel lucky to live in such a beautiful area to live/ride, but the stretch of the BRP arround Roanoke I feel is less scenic then either direction leaving town, could be cause I see it more. But Ive always been curious to get a feel of the desert, although several have said the mountains are best. Maybe if health & fortune allow I'll head west someday.
