Seriously, though, I do see where you're coming from, and maybe you can edify me a bit more on this, but I've never gathered the Republicans to be big supporters of small businesses. What exactly is the deal with that?

Being a supporter of small business means you get the hell out of the way. When the gov't wants to "do something" for you it rarely works.



When we first started we were an S corp which pays the same tax rates as individuals. A tax cut is the best way to help small businesses grow. Now we're a C corp so it's a bit different but we still get buried in taxes.



I've got a lot of friends who are contractors out here. Most of them have a sticker on their trucks that say "Make welfare as hard to get as a building permit."
