On a related note, rode a Versys they made available for demo at a Portland dealer over the weekend. Surprisingly good low end, though it doesn't want to rev as much as I was expecting, really the opposite of the Wee Strom motor, which seems to like to rev more than it does lug. Maybe after some break in that changes. It's light and handles well, not that I was on anything other than reasonably busy city streets and a 1/2 mile of I-205. I didn't buy it, but mainly as it's a generalist bike, it would do everything OK. I'm a multi-bike guy, so generalist bikes don't get the use they might otherwise from me. This would be a great commuter though.
